Physical Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant who is a proactive caregiver with a positive "team player" attitude, and meets the following requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited APTA school of Physical Therapy
• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Tech-savvy with the ability to learn quickly

Job Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the licensed physical therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
• Create an exceptional Physical Therapy program.
• Enhance clinical expertise, professional and management skills through interaction with managers, therapists and other professional staff, self-study, and other continuing education activities.
• Maintain a valid state license while maintaining an awareness of issues related to the profession of Physical Therapy and the healthcare environment.
• Understand various relevant payment models related to billing and treatment guidelines, as well as clinically appropriate means/modes of delivery.
• Provides quality care as well as reasonable goals and outcomes within the guidelines of state and national rules and regulations.
• Ensures all documentation meets criteria of skilled therapy and completed timely.
• Always demonstrates courtesy whenever residents, family members and visitors are present.
• Demonstrates ongoing responsibility and commitment through good attendance and time management
• Respects the privacy and dignity of residents.
