Description
The employee performs a full range of maintenance assignments using independent judgment to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or designate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs equipment, and plumbing facilities using hand and power tools of the plumbing trade such as pipe wrenches, hacksaws, pipe cutters, and torches.
• Conducts preventative maintenance (PM) of manufacturing equipment to assure compliance to PM schedule.
• Installs, services, and repairs electric motors, heaters, refrigerators, and other related equipment using various hand and power tools of the maintenance trades.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs air compressors and other air conditioning equipment using various machine tools.
• Services and repairs appliances such as fans, toasters, refrigerators, and microwave using machine and hand tools.• Replaces fuses, light bulbs, circuit breakers, electric switches, and other electrical equipment following electrical specifications.
• Prepares paint, finish surfaces, and equipment using paintbrushes, sanders, scrapers, and other painting tools.
• Repairs broken furniture or building fixtures using carpenter's hand tools and power equipment.
• Performs building and/or masonry repair such as preparing cement, installing reinforcing steel rods, patching and finishing cement work, and replacing damaged masonry.
• May assist in training lower-level maintenance positions and others.
• May assist with general hauling of supplies, equipment, and material.
• Comply with all local, state, federal, and SPG safety regulations, policies, and procedures (SPG safety absolutes).
• Comply with quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles outlined in the site quality manual and ISO13485:2016 requirements.
• Other activities may be assigned as required by management.
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Must have a minimum of four years maintenance trades experience.
• Must have troubleshooting and electrical experience.
• Calibration and documentation experience a plus.
• Thermoplastic processing experience is a plus.
Physical Demands
• Viewing a computer screen for extended period of time
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Occasional bending and stooping required
• Walking, standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to navigate lift systems and ladders while working in overhead situations including roof work, catwalks, mezzanines, etc.
