Role Summary: As a PTA, you will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to deliver excellent client services. Responsibilities include assisting in evaluations, participating in the development and re-evaluation of rehabilitative plans, and providing therapeutic exercises and patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with evaluations and re-evaluations under a PT's direction.
- Participate in clinical note preparation and progress tracking.
- Perform therapeutic exercises and instruct patients in the use of self-help devices.
- Report to the PT on patient progress and any adverse reactions to treatments.
- Assist with discharge activities and preparation of discharge summaries.
- Coordinate visit schedules with nursing supervision.
- Provide instruction to other health team personnel and family members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited PTA program.
- Licensed as a PTA in Florida.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Valid driver's license with insured, reliable vehicle.
- Preferably one year of home healthcare experience.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records preferred.
- Ability to work independently with excellent observation, judgment, and communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform job responsibilities.
