Physical Education Instructor - Elementary Students

Location: East Palo Alto

Schedule: Once a week, Wednesdays 2:00 PM - 2:50 PM

Compensation: $35 - Part-time

We're currently looking for a passionate and energetic Physical Activity Leader to join our after-school program.

Role Overview:

As a Physical Activity Leader, you'll be responsible for leading elementary school students in dynamic, fun, and safe physical activities similar to those in PE classes. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about physical fitness and looking for a rewarding opportunity to work with children in a lively environment. This role is designed to fit seamlessly into your schedule, offering a chance to make a positive impact while earning extra income.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead engaging physical activities for elementary school students once a week.
• Activities include, but are not limited to, group games (e.g., tag, relay races), introductory sports skills, fun fitness circuits, and movement-based games that promote coordination and teamwork.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Monitor students' participation and progress, offering encouragement and positive reinforcement.
• Coordinate with program staff to ensure activities align with program goals.

Qualifications:

• Enthusiasm for physical fitness and working with children.
• Previous experience in leading sports, fitness activities, or coaching is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and organize activities creatively.
• First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 per week
