College of the Canyons seeks a part-time, non-tenured track Head Women’s Basketball Coach to lead the women’s basketball program and to teach fall, spring, and summer term classes. The successful candidate will report to the Dean of Kinesiology, Health & Wellness, Fitness and Athletics, and will be responsible for all aspects of planning, managing, and directing a successful Community College basketball program.

Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in coaching;
OR- Any bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment or the equivalent;
OR- Any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment or the equivalent.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes.
The successful candidate will be hired as an adjunct professor and be assigned a 10 TLU class load in the Fall and Spring and a 9 TLU class load in the Summer paid at the contractual hourly rate*. This position will also receive an annual stipend in the amount of $15,000.
