Pharmacy Manager - Dallas

Alive + Well is an innovative integrative health and wellness center offering a wide variety of health and wellness products, treatments, and services to provide our customers with an elevated customer experience. Key services include spa services, holistic therapies, IV vitamin therapy, functional medicine clinic, full-service compounding pharmacy, and a wide range of professional grade supplements and beauty products.

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to help build our Pharmacy business in our new Dallas location. We are looking to hire a leader that is energetic, positive, knowledgeable, customer focused, that embraces our integrated health and wellness model and has experience with compounding and supplements. This person should be driven by building relationships with local providers, customers, as well as the Alive and Well team.

Customer Service

  • Instill in Team Members the meaning and importance of customer service, along with the integrative model by training customer service basics and reinforcing positive behavior.
  • Promote and monitor quality of service among staff through training and acting as a role model.
  • Model business habits that promote an extraordinary environment.
  • Empower staff to use their best judgment in all customer service matters.
  • Be personally available to customers to address their questions or concerns.
  • Drive initiatives and programs that result in a positive trend in increasing script count.

Leadership, Training and Team Member Development

  • Maintain Team Member attitude and morale by recognizing outstanding performance and service.
  • Promote education and training.
  • Encourage Team Members to continue their professional development through education and training.
  • Maintain training standards to ensure both product and systems expertise will improve store operations and allow for better customer service.
  • Provide an "open door" policy where Team Members are free to express their concerns and feelings without fear of retribution or ill will.
  • Provide consistent, balanced feedback to all Team Members and set goals to guide performance. Conduct job dialogues on a timely basis.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to create a “One Team, One Voice, One Vision” environment for the whole store.
  • Interface with the Retail Manager, creating a collaborative work environment.

Marketing

  • As Alive and Well’s brand ambassador, work with Practitioners on outreach to local businesses and health professionals to develop long term relationships in the local community.
  • Make 100% customer calls from the transfer report run weekly.
  • Drive and participate in community events, i.e. health fairs, local street fairs, professional events that help raise awareness about Alive and Well and our mission to the public.
  • Participate in community organizations, i.e. local neighborhood associations, community affairs groups, and/or community based health groups that can help increase local visibility and build relationships.

Administrative

  • Maintain routine store systems such as pharmacy and register supplies.
  • Complete schedules for team members 2 weeks prior to the start of the next period.
  • Ensure that all Team Members are trained and follow HIPAA procedures and practices.

Budgeting/Fiscal Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of pharmacy financial operations: labor, expenses, sales and margin.
  • Maintain labor hours, dollars and percentage on a weekly basis budgeted according to sales level.
  • Discuss with Team and determine execution plan to meet or exceed the budgeted store sales and contribution targets.
  • Ensure that the Team is aware of sales goals on a weekly basis. Meet 100% of sales goal weekly.
  • Provide input in yearly budgeting process.

Sales, Merchandising, Inventory

  • Maintain high merchandising standards.
  • Make 100% “will call” and transfer prevention calls per week.
  • Maintain a clean,stocked pharmacy.
  • Install correct, scheduled pharmacy promotional signage and ensure professional look.
  • Maintain standard returns and credits procedures.
  • Organize, plan and lead physical inventory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in pharmacy. Hands-on experience and accountability for, managing gross margin, inventory, labor budgets and pharmacy expenses in a community pharmacy .
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about retail pharmacy, health and wellness.
  • Current and clear pharmacist license in the state in which the position exists.
  • Recent experience in working with pharmacy systems including insurance.
  • Strong proficiency with Word and Excel.
  • Proven ability in Team Member development and retention.
  • Basic business writing skills.
  • Ability to preserve confidential information.
  • Flexible availability, able to work weekends, holidays and extended days, evenings.

  • While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to be on your feet, pulling product from shelves, counting pills, engaging with customers and Team Members, answering phones.
  • Stocking and taking inventory will require you to stoop, reach and lift.
  • At times, work schedules may exceed 50+ hours per week.
  • You must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to make recommendations for supplements based on guests that present various ailments and symptoms
  • Leadership qualities in buidling, training, developing a new team in a new location
  • Self starter with high drive to succeed and is results driven
  • Not afraid to roll up sleeves and posseses a whatever it takes approach to the business
  • Is a creative problem solver with a natural sense of figuring out new solutions
  • Collaborative by nature, team player, and works well with others
  • Great listener, empathetic, and loves to mentor
  • Strong passion for customer care and providing elevated customer service
