Cub Pharmacy in Minneapolis Quarry is looking for patient centric Pharmacy Manager to lead the team . Must be licensed Pharmacist in MN.
Overview
Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to stores. Efficiently manage the operations of the Pharmacy. Ensure accurate prescription dispensing and timely delivery to store locations. Supervise Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, grad interns and clerks in compliance with federal and state legislation as well as store policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Ensures efficient and timely filling and toting of all prescriptions for delivery.
- Takes all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with all laws, regulations, physician orders and company policies and procedures regarding the sale of pharmaceuticals including:
- retrieves the correct and accurate product(s)
- counts; pours, or measures out the required quantity according to established company methods and procedures
- affixes the label permanently to the container
- performs a final audit of the prescription
- Bag’s prescriptions and affixes the patient information
- Totes prescriptions for store delivery
- Ensures that delivery drivers receive the correct tote and tote contents for delivery
- Offers advice and professional consultation in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Actively endorses and participates in all clinical program offerings as applicable.
- Responds to telephone requests from store teams which require the expertise of the pharmacist.
- Communicates and cooperates in a professional manner with peers, subordinates, managers, physicians, in all pharmacy related areas.
- Maintains automated counting devices and all other robotics according to company policy and supplier guidelines. Ensures all records and training records are stored and maintained according to company policy and state/board of pharmacy regulations or laws.
- Ensures timely implementation of company policies, procedures and programs; and enforces professional and operational standards, including compliance with legal regulations.
- Maintains all state and federal record keeping for controlled substances.
- Supervises all pharmacy staff in accordance with Federal and State law while working in the pharmacy.
- Follows all laws and company procedures regarding Medicare, Medicaid, and other third party insurance plans, and participates in audits as appropriate in a timely manner.
- Responsible for HIPAA compliance as required by law.
- Accesses the pharmacy computer to ensure accurate filling and toting of prescriptions.
- Orders product from distribution center or other appropriate source as necessary.
- Stocks pharmacy product orders to specific bay locations.
- Trains pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, grad interns, and clerks, and abides by state regulations regarding technician training and licensure.
- Maintains inventory levels to company goals, rotates stock, and utilizes RX return process.
- Bags all products; affixes the receipt to the bag and places company stickers on items that are not in bags
- Maintains strict adherence to company guidelines related to personal hygiene, dress code and Department
Job Requirements
Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have a college degree in Pharmacy (BS or Pharm D)
- Must pass the NAPLEX.
- Must pass the State MJPE.
- Must hold a valid state license.
- Meets all requirements of and maintains status as a Certified Immunizer.
- Must complete continuing education hours as required by law.
- Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs (i.e. HIPAA, CDR, I-pedge, etc.)
- Ability to do simple addition, subtraction, copying figures, counting, and recording, or any other calculations required for dosing medications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Possess the ability to understand and follow written, verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying i supplies orally or in writing.
- Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with perception and field of vision.
- Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Environment
- Some job duties require on-site visits which may include climbing stairs (inside and outside), inspecting roofs, backroom production area equipment, etc.
- Position requires periodic travel throughout assigned area either by car or plane.
- Must respond to maintenance problems at other than normal working hours.
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
