SalaryResponsibilities
- Supervise billing team day to day operations.
- Oversight of new LTC admits, hospice admits, claims adjudication, prior authorizations, composite billing, BAE's submitted to insurance.
- Oversight of monthly facility, hospice and private pay billing.
- Supervise daily deposit, cash posting, and collections activities.
- Monitor insurance communication and take appropriate action to modify or communicate process changes as a result of insurance changes.
- Monitor pricing/margins via NetRx for third party insurance.
- Partner with other managers to communicate process changes effectively to billing team members.
- Ensure department goals are communicated and met by team.
Qualifications
Education
- High school or equivalent
- Technician training certificate of completion from an accredited institution/college or signed certificate of completion from an employer preferred.
Experience
- Prior experience in LTC pharmacy preferred.
- Prior pharmacy or medical billing experience.
- Prior employee management experience preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
- Must have ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize accordingly.
- Must have a desire and willingness to learn and perform new tasks.
- Must be self-motivated and self-directed.
- An ideal candidate will have a preference for work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are critical to success.
- Active Minnesota Pharmacy Technician registration.
