Who are we?
Our community health center began as a modest sized medical clinic in Pasco, Washington in 1981. The clinic was founded by a small group of women in the Pasco community who saw the need to serve low income community members who could not afford to pay for Healthcare.
Tri-Cities Community Health has grown into a comprehensive non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) where we have evolved into a network of community health centers that continue with the foundation TCCH was built on and serve an even more diverse population in the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas.
Description:
The Pharmacist’s primary job function is to be responsible for the operation of the clinic pharmacy department in accordance with the goals and objectives of the clinic and within the framework of the professional standards of care and legal requirements. This position will have responsibilities working in the clinic retail pharmacy, prescription refill team and as a clinical pharmacist seeing patients for chronic disease state management operating under a CDTA.
Essential Functions:
- Assures that the clinic maintains standards of pharmacy practice equal to or above those accepted by the profession and the law.
- Performs the duties of a pharmacist, including dispensing prescriptions, and counseling patients on their medications
- Maintains accurate documentation in the pharmacy software system
- Clinical and Technical: (must be familiar with the following fundamentals/activities.
- Complies with clinic policy and procedures consistently in all aspects of employment
- Participates in meetings as directed
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment
- Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter and intra departmentally to facilitate the department's/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Ability to carry out all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school or college of pharmacy.
Experience: Experience in clinical pharmacy and/or experience in personnel management.
License/Certification: Washington State Pharmacy License in good standing. Valid Washington State Driver’s License and proof of current auto insurance.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to learn and work with pharmacy processing software

- Knowledge and experience of ordering, inventory and cost management activities
