Colby’s Dogcare & Spa, the area’s most luxurious Pet Care business, has an immediate opening for a Pet Care Managerthat shares the same enthusiasm for dogs and high standards of Pet Care.

We offer high-quality services including pet lodging, fun doggie daycare, grooming, bathing, and professional dog training services.We’ve also won runner-up in “Best Doggie Daycare” in the Best of DC Awards our first year!

We’re currently seeking a high-energy, customer service-focused, enthusiastic individual to fill the full-time Pet Care Managerposition. The ideal candidates should be able to step in and be hands-on team members in any area when needed to assist our team in providing exceptional Pet Care.

Does This Sound Like You?

• Knowledgeable in dog behavior and dog health
• Management experience in a Pet Care-related industry is preferred
• Detail orientated and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to have a flexible schedule
• Proven leadership and motivational skills
• Leads by example by being a professional and respectful example for the team
• Ability to think outside the box; problem solver

Duties

• Assuring procedural compliance with staff members
• Conducting pet temperament evaluations
• Resolving any dog and client issues in a positive, professional manner
• Interviewing and hiring of new Pet Care staff members
• Coaching, motivating, and training employees
• Scheduling PT & FT staff members

Candidates who would be successful in this position may have kennel, veterinary, or Pet Care management experience. Candidates with a strong record of management success in alternate fields will also be considered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
