Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personnel Assistant to join our team. As a Personnel Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our people operations department and ensuring the smooth operation of personnel-related functions. Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment and hiring processes, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Conduct initial screenings of candidates and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
- Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with onboarding new employees, including completing necessary paperwork and conducting orientations
- Handle employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and other people operations-related matters
- Support employee relations initiatives by organizing company events and activities
- Stay up-to-date on employment laws and regulations, including FMLA requirements
This is a Civil service position and will require a civil service test.
Civil service Requirements
Either:
A. Two (2) year degree in management, business, human resources or related field with two (2) years of clerical experience involving personnel transactions; OR
B. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma with four (4) years of clerical experience involving personnel transactions;
C. An equivalent combination of training and experience as indicated in (a) or (b) above.
NOTE: Education beyond high school may be substituted for the clerical experience indicated in (b) above on a year-for-year basis.
