Busy Westlake Village Personal Injury law firm seeks a full-time pre-litigation Case Manager. This position requires great organization and time management skills. Experience preferred but we will train the right candidate. Your responsibilities will include managing Personal Injury Case files from inception to demand. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential. It's a small and very friendly office. The right candidate must work well in a fast-paced, high demand, and jovial atmosphere.
This full-time position’s compensation is $22-$28 per hour depending upon experience. Additional compensation in periodic, discretionary performance-based bonuses - By way of example, all of our team members received bonuses that exceeded 20% of their annual earnings last year. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k) with match and profit sharing. 17 paid holidays plus 3 weeks of PTO.
A successful candidate must be prepared to:
- Communicate and correspond with clients, providers, and insurance adjusters.
- Manage client’s medical care by keeping in constant communication with client’s and medical providers. Schedule and calendar medical appointments all while explaining procedures and related documentation to the client.
- Monitor and manage case status and prepare case cost analysis.
- Open Subrogation with appropriate entity (Medicare, Medi-cal, Private insurance etc.).
- Prepare demands, uninsured/underinsured motorist demand, and demands for arbitration.
- Regularly effectively communicate with clients to ensure they are following through with needed treatment.
- Work with clients to identify their medical treatment history, to compile lists of treating facilities for which medical and billing records are needed; and order records & billing.
- Negotiate Provider liens and Subrogation Liens.
- Open claims and send letters of representation.
- Handle property damage claims.
Qualifications:
- A combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and follow-up skills. Must have ability to meet deadlines and be efficient, detail oriented, flexible, and a self-starter.
- Complete attention to detail – the individual demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness, detailed oriented, monitors own work to ensure quality, and open to feedback.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications (Word and Excel).
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Will work on-site at our facility located at Westlake Village (no option to work remote).
- Very strong verbal and written communications skills are needed.
