Description:
The Assistant will work directly with our Personal Injury department and other departments within the Firm. The Assistant must be highly organized, possess strong critical thinking skills, excellent attention to detail, and solid communication skills.
Primary duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in locating and retrieving files as requested by the Personal Injury pods and management
- File SR-1 and SR-19 as indicated by supporting staff for WC and PI
- Provide coverage when PI Case Manager and Paralegal are out on vacation or as needed
- Open new PI files and request records accordingly
- Request file records as instructed by Attorney or supporting staff
- Request medical and billing records
- Organize medical and billing records, open claims with Medi-cal, Medicare and other lien holders
- Gather case costs and final bills upon settlement
- Keep case lists organized
- Assist opening health insurance claims on behalf of clients and overseeing the process and handle related correspondence accordingly
- Request traffic collision reports electronically, by mail and in person from various law enforcement agencies
- Maintain calendar and schedule clients accordingly to meet with PI Managing Attorney/Partner
- Assist with Rogs; interview clients and collect data/client history and transfer information via written response and prepare as needed per Attorney
- Communicate with clients as needed regarding appointments and work with clients to provide required documents on files as required by Attorney
- Provide support to the staff and Attorney with preparing breakdowns
- Draft and send letters and provide overall support to Case Managers
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management and/or Team Leaders
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 or more years’ experience working as a Personal Injury Case Manager for a law firm.
- Minimum high school diploma; and
- Bilingual, fluent in English/Spanish required

Pay: $19.58 - $28.59 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
