SalaryLate 30s physically disabled human services professional in need of a part-time driver/assistant in Towson. This job is both assisting me with household care tasks such as cooking, laundry, driving me to adaptive fitness classes, AND/OR work related administrative tasks such as planning and prioritizing, meeting deadlines, and driving to/from work events throughout central Maryland. Therefore, the most important qualifications are that you have your own vehicle with a clean driving record (mileage reimbursed), are task oriented, and are able to assist me with minimizing distraction. Outgoing personality and prior experience assisting people with significant executive dysfunction is helpful. No prior experience with horses required, but there is a possibility that I need someone to drive me to horseback riding lessons, so not being allergic to or afraid of horses, cats, or dogs is required for that shift only (barn has several animals wandering around).
Part time 4-19 hours per week 1-2 people, 19hrs max between both hires.
typically 3hr shifts, weekday late afternoons & weekend afternoons preferred, as well as Tues mornings, shifts are flexible and mutually agreed upon between employee and employer.
Requirements of the position
● Must be able to lift 20 pounds (carry groceries, transport wheelchair, etc.)
● Must have received a bivalent booster and continue to receive all updated COVID-19 vaccines & yearly flu shot
● CPR/First Aid Certification (reimbursed by employer)
● Starting pay is $20hr for household assistance, $24/hr for job coaching with a raise after 12mos
This is non-medical position, no prior medical knowledge is needed
Priority given to people who live within 8 miles of Towson Town Center
