The People Project Manager will be responsible for defining talent problems and hypothesizing, testing and building solutions. For success of the role, the individual executes the overall strategy, planning, management and completion of projects supporting Human Resources function and business. This role will be partnered with project team members, other HR and/or business stakeholders to develop project scope and use professional project management skills to manage project roles, identify resource requirements, define project deliverables and execute.
This position may be located at any of the following Bobcat locations: Bismarck, ND; Gwinner, ND; West Fargo, ND
Role & Responsibility
- Responsible for managing the complete life cycle of highly complex internal projects, including approval, planning, execution, and closeout to ensure planned results are achieved on time and budget
- Support HR due diligence and integration activities to ensure timely completion of key milestones and ensure the successful completion of appropriate handoffs / interdependencies
- Organize function and project activities that may require cross-functional meetings and communication ensuring completion of the initiatives and activities on schedule and within budget constraints
- Identify opportunities for HR automation and process improvements, enabling tools and systems that deliver tangible value such as fit/gap analysis of existing processes
- Develop the case-for-change, including a business case, that covers people, process, technology, and data for enterprise HR transformations
- Monitor and track change milestones and schedules, inclusive of status, dependencies, achievements, and risks/issues
- Address problems through risk management and contingency planning and presents solutions and/or options to executive management
- Establish project teams & lead multiple improvement initiatives from initiation, analysis, solution design and execution and deliver successful outcomes by use of proven techniques (Lean, six sigma, etc.)
- To promote successful solution delivery, plan & define the right project resources with HR functional areas to ensure future business process owners are on the project team to allow for smooth handoff when project is closed/live.
Job Requirement
- Strong project management and prioritization skills with demonstrated ability to deliver on operational objectives
- 7+ years of experience in Human Resources
- 3+ years of experience in project management
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field
- Organizational development/effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, and change management
- Demonstrated knowledge of HR processes, systems, and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of project management methodology (PMP certificate preferred)
- Proven experience with budgeting and cost management
- Ability to work independently and with teams
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS software systems
