Position Overview:
The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is a dedicated and a compassionate team member at the Clinic. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering excellent patient care within our holistic healthcare model. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the Doctor to provide comprehensive and personalized healthcare services to patients. The position requires a commitment of 100 hours per month, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Duties
1. Conduct pediatric and adult IVs and blood draws with precision and care.
2. Perform urgent care visits, addressing conditions such as cold, flu, RSV, strep, sprains, cuts, etc.
3. Display interest in learning and applying principles of integrative medicine.
4. Demonstrate willingness to drive to occasional home visits using a personal vehicle for rapid test administration or treatment.Collaborate with Doctor to implement holistic medical care plans for patients.
5. Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
6. Administer treatments, medications, and vaccinations as prescribed.
7. Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families.
8. Provide referrals to other practitioners when necessary
9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
10. Uphold the principles of the concierge care model, ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
Skills
Proficient in providing care for toddlers, including well-child visits, vaccinations, and developmental screenings
- Strong knowledge of medical records management and documentation practices
- Experience in occupational health, including pre-employment physicals and workers' compensation evaluations
- Proficient in pediatric and adult medical procedures, including IVs and blood draws.
- Experience in handling urgent care cases with efficiency.
- Openness to incorporating integrative medicine into practice.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to use personal vehicle for occasional home visits.
- Excellent nursing skills, including patient assessment, monitoring, and intervention
- Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures for blood draws and specimen collection
- In-depth understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Proficiency in IV infusion therapy techniques
- Familiarity with home healthcare practices
