Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

We are a private pediatric practice in Southeast Florida looking for an experienced, pediatric trained Nurse Practitioner. We are hiring someone who has at least one year of outpatient pediatric experience, is self-motivated and caring, with excellent medical and people skills to join our practice of 2 physicians. Our current NP is moving out of state. Our office takes pride in delivering personalized and high quality care to our families.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Strong communication skills and ability to develop a strong rapport with patients, family members, and other health care providers.
• Bilingual is preferred. Diverse patient population includes multiple languages: Spanish, Portuguese, French, Russian, and Hebrew.
• Must demonstrate excellence in patient focused medical care & delivery of care
• Strong medical decision making skills are a must and know when to seek consultation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to use EMR.
• Ability to interpret signs and symptoms elicited through history and physical.
• Ability to determine health problems after lab and x-ray information is available.
• CPR required - we can update upon hire if needed.

PreferredEducation/Experience:

• Previous experience providing care for patients ages newborn to 18 years of age in a pediatric primary care setting
• Previous experience with simple office procedures (or willingness to learn) such as suture removal, abscess drainage, urine catheterization
• Experience with earrings placement

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
