The role of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) is to deliver holistic care to infants and children up to the age of five, while also offering support and guidance to their families. PNPs must possess advanced problem-solving abilities in various areas of medical and nursing assessment, as well as in the provision of care and treatment. They are responsible for delivering patient care in alignment with the Practice's philosophy and standards, and they serve as a valuable clinical resource for both patients and internal staff, offering consistent support to ensure that patients receive the necessary care and attention.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with specialization as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
- Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP)
- Experience in Pediatrics setting
- Strong knowledge of pediatric anatomy, physiology, and development
- Experience in case management and coordination of care for pediatric patients
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and electronic health records systems
- Proficiency in performing vital signs assessments and interpreting results
- Knowledge of specialized procedures such as cardiac catheterization and esthetic laser treatment is a plus
- Familiarity with sterile processing techniques for medical equipment
