As part of an interdisciplinary medical psychiatry/psychology team, the pediatric neuropsychologist will provide neuropsychological assessments and consultations to youth with a wide range of chronic medical illnesses at Primary Children's Hospital (PCH), specific pediatric subspecialty clinics, and the Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinic. Although a variety of patient populations are seen, common conditions include acquired brain injury, epilepsy, and congenital disorders affecting central nervous system development. A range of neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. AD/HD, learning disorders, and autism spectrum) are also common, though typically only evaluated in children with comorbid medical conditions. In addition to clinical service, there is an expectation for academic work, including teaching, research, administration, as well as advocacy.

The Department and University offers a competitive salary and an unmatched benefits program, including non-contributory retirement contributions of 20.2% of annual salary that vest immediately. In addition to its 14 ski resorts, Utah boasts five scenic national parks (with five more within a day's drive), a variety of golf courses allowing for year-round play, hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails (some leaving from adjacent to the hospital), and numerous other outdoor activities.

Qualified candidates must have a doctoral degree in clinical, counseling, or school psychology from an accredited program; and must possess experience in the neuropsychological assessment of medically ill children and adolescents. Completion of a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology and board eligibility or board certification in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology are preferred.
