Pediatric Certified Medical Assistant

Star Choice Pediatrics has an immediate opening for a Certified Medical Assistant in our brand new Practice caring for children and adolescents from birth to 21 years old.

Must have previous Pediatric medical experience, the ability to interact efficiently with our culturally diverse patient population, be friendly and energetic, possess basic computer skills, and be willing to learn new skills.

Must be able to work independently as well as be able to problem solve and prioritize appropriately. Must also have previous experience and excellent customer service skills. Some Front Desk duties may be assigned at times also.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting the medical staff in a hospital setting. Duties: - Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, measuring height and weight, and collecting patient medical history - Assist with patient examinations and procedures under the supervision of healthcare professionals - Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals - Prepare patients for X-rays and other diagnostic tests - Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment - Assist with patient education by providing information on medications, treatments, and preventive measures - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and delivery of quality care - Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information Skills: - Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology - Proficiency in taking accurate vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and respiratory rate - Familiarity with basic life support techniques - Experience in providing exceptional patient care in a hospital or clinical setting - Ability to perform medical administrative tasks efficiently and accurately - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred - Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus - Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable If you are dedicated to delivering compassionate care and have the necessary skills to excel as a Medical Assistant, we encourage you to apply.
