Front Office Staff and Medical Assistant

Pediatric Medical office is seeking an experienced F/T or P/T Certified Medical Assistant at our Ellicott City and Columbia offices.

Must have medical experience, the ability to interact efficiently with culturally diverse patient population, be friendly and energetic, possess basic computer skills, and be willing to learn new skills. Some Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

• Greeting patients
• Verifying Insurance
• Collecting Copays
• Answering phones
• Scheduling appointments
• Confirming appointments
• Registering new patients
• Assists provider with clinical visit. Interview patients and document basic medical history. Collects throat and/or nasal swab specimens from patients for diagnostic testing purposes. Administers immunizations.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

• Follow through with post-visit duties

Must demonstrated success in working independently, prioritizing and problem solving. Must have excellent customer service/patient services. Significant knowledge of medical practices and procedures in a primary care environment.

Salary provided very competitive.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 28 – 40 per week
