Form of work Our client is a financial services company with a close-knit culture. We are looking for a Payroll Specialist with excellent attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, proper verbal and written communication, ability to work with a team, and multitask.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$24/hr - $35/hr
Position Overview:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for making sure employees are being paid accurately and timely. The company is looking for someone with an enthusiastic and good attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and the desire to grow in your role. This hybrid position will be based in the New York Metropolitan Area.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:
* Manage all payroll functions including calculating employee paychecks, withholding taxes, and any other deductions.
* Maintain accurate payroll records for the company.
* Perform data entry and reconcile timecards.
* Answer inquiries from employees and vendors.
* Distribute paychecks and statements to department managers.
Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:
* 2 - 5 years of payroll processing experience or an equivalent combination of education or experience is preferred.
* Familiar with required software and payroll reports.
* Proficiency in Workday, ADP, Excel, Office, or other relevant payroll systems.
Education Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required.
