Payroll Specialist - Remote

About the Role:

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to support the Company's key payroll functions. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organization and communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively under deadlines. This is a full-time position.

This role reports to the Director of Accounting.

Essential Functions:

• Managing payroll using payroll software and other program
• Maintaining employee payroll files using HRIS and payroll software
• Working alongside HR and Operations to ensure accurate employee payroll files
• Communicating timely with Gracent team members about paycheck inquiries
• Processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Maintaining tax accounts with federal, state, and local agencies
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local ordinances

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in payroll
• Proficiency with Excel formulas
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Adaptability and willingness to learn
