**Responsibilities:**
1. **Payroll Processing:**
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for clients across multiple states.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions.
- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
2. **Bookkeeping:**
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
3. **Sales and Use Tax Support:**
- Provide guidance and support to clients on sales and use tax matters.
- Assist with sales tax registration, filing, and remittance processes.
- Conduct sales tax audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Stay informed about changes in sales tax laws and regulations.
4. **Client Communication:**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Communicate effectively to understand client needs and expectations.
- Provide proactive solutions and recommendations to improve processes.
- Address client inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
5. **Team Collaboration:**
- Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Collaborate with CPAs, tax professionals, and other stakeholders as needed.

**Qualifications:**
- Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing and bookkeeping.
- Strong understanding of multi-state payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, ADP, Ultratax, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of sales and use tax principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- CPA or CPP certification a plus.
