WITRON is growing! We are expanding our HR Team and adding a second Payroll Specialist to our growing workforce. The Payroll Specialist must be detail-oriented and confident in processing bi-weekly payroll for approximately 1,000 employees, across multiple states, in accordance with federal and state laws.

Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain payroll and employee data in accordance with applicable federal and local laws as well as company policies and procedures.
- Process pay and code changes as needed.
- Process employee changes such as new hire, termination, transfers, etc in payroll system.
- Prepare, process and reconcile payroll for approximately 1,000 employees on a bi-weekly basis.
- Prepare and reconcile internal payroll/tax records and reports.
- Process garnishments, support orders etc.
- Review, update and document processes relating to Payroll.
- Research and resolve payroll issues.
- Provide employee support for payroll or timekeeping questions.
- Make available audit items as requested during auditing seasons.
- Complete required federal and state reports.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum 3 years processing payroll, KRONOS experience required.
- Minimum 3 years using advanced excel.
Skills & Knowledge
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to manipulate, audit and regularly update HRIS system to perform payroll functions as needed.
- Must be detailed-oriented and process payroll 100% error-free consistently.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with strong customer service.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Possess a strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to payroll.
- Experience with Kronos timekeeping system.
- Experience in validating the accuracy of non-exempt timekeeping records to ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.
