Job Description
SUMMARY: Provide accounting support to the ownership & departmental personnel by ensuring data integrity of financial information, providing timely & accurate reporting to management, safeguarding company assets, and maintaining internal controls. Reviews data and creates accounting records within the accounting system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares and records bi-weekly payrolls for Bear Homes, Bear Development, Construction Management Association, Bear Services and Bear Property Management.
- Over sees the set-up and changes for any team members within ADP.
- Maintains all employee folders.
- Records and submits payment requests for benefit insurance premiums.
- Tracks employee Vacation and PTO.
- Prepares and records Commissions.
- Updates and balances FSA account.
- Supports Human Resources with new hire packets.
- Provides requested supporting documentation for audits and tax preparation
- Prepare and maintain accounting transactions within accounting system.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent
- One to three years related experience or equivalent.
- Familiarity with construction standards and terminology.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Acute attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Excellent computer skills
- Familiarity with AppFolio and Pro Contractor software.
