Payroll Specialist

AUI is a Joliet,IL based underground company that specialize in telecommunaction installations.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This is a critical role within our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining employee satisfaction and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.

Duties:

- Process payroll for employees using our accounting software

- Calculate and enter data for payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, and overtime

- Review timesheets and attendance records for accuracy

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations

- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees

- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters

- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data in the payroll system

- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies

- Generate reports on payroll expenses, taxes, and deductions

- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation

Skills:

- Strong understanding of financial concepts related to payroll processing

- Fimiliar with ADP a must.

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Workday) and MS Excel

- Knowledge of accounts receivable principles and practices

- Familiarity with corporate accounting procedures and journal entries

- Ability to analyze data and identify trends or discrepancies

- Accurate 10-key typing skills

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Strong communication skills to interact with employees regarding payroll inquiries

- Understanding of human resources processes related to payroll

Pay: $800.00 - $1,250.00 per week
