Fully remote position, candidates must reside in the greater Los Angeles area.

Currently, we have an immediate opening for a Payroll & Benefits Specialistto join our team. This is a fully remote in Los Angeles, CA. The Payroll & Benefits Specialist is primarily responsible providing day-today support to the HR department, specifically in areas relating to payroll and benefits. This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to handle all aspects of payroll processing and assisting with the administration of the organization’s benefits program.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Processing multi-state payrolls (bi-weekly and off-cycles) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensuring data in ADP Workforce Now is accurate and up to date by supporting the employment maintenance in the system.
- Researching, analyzing, resolving discrepancies, and conducting periodic audits on time records, carrier systems, ADP Workforce Now and other systems.
- Performing benefits administration duties related to health and welfare plans, retirements plan, and other employee benefits. Administration includes reconciling invoices and performing other duties to support the employee.
- Responding to employee inquiries and educating them on related policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, and rules and ensuring all required forms are completed/submitted as required (e.g. non discrimination testing, EEO-1, 5500)
- Supporting the deployment of new HR initiatives and programs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years’ experience with processing California payroll.
- 3 years’ experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now.
- 3 years’ experience using Excel, Word, Outlook including experience working with advanced formulas such as Vlookup in Excel.
- 3 years’ experience working with employee 401(k) retirement
- 1 year experience with processing multi-state payroll.
- 1 year experience assisting with benefits administration
- 1 year experience as a “Super User” in ADP Workforce Now. This includes having full access to all functionalities within ADP Workforce Now.
- 1 year experience with non-discrimination testing and 5500 filing.
