Prepares payroll records for processing. Provides administrative support to the Human Resources (HR) department.
- Completes batch, verifies and enters timesheet data into time-entry system, which includes speaking to employees and key refinery personnel on a daily basis regarding questions on timesheets.
- Reviews hours keyed by employees to ensure totals balance with SAP HR.
- Keys time-entry updates from the Leave and Disability Administration department related to Short Term Leave (STL).
- Coordinates with the Leave and Disability Administration department concerning STL overpayment calculations and payment offsets.
- Prepares various reports and audits.
- Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
- Maintains the Payroll Procedures Manual when new procedures are added or changes are made to current procedures.
- Maintains and updates the Refinery Rate Schedule binder.
- Provides administrative support for assigned HR areas.
- Performs administrative duties, including greeting and assisting guests and visitors, accepting delivered packages
- Processes mail, answers and screen phone calls, makes copies, and completes general typing assignments.
- Assists employees with questions pertaining to assigned HR areas.
- Inputs data in HR Systems.
- Main point of contact for the Refinery Employee Recognition Program.
- Maintains and administers the Perfect Attendance Award Program.
- Supports the administration of the all Employee Uniform Program.
- Works closely with the Refinery Safety Department on updating and auditing the ERT and DOT employees.
- Works on special projects as necessary, such as creating new forms, completing word processing assignments, and producing general reports.
- Coordinates meetings and other Human Resources special events.
This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 3 years of payroll experience required.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word) is preferred.
- Experience using 10-key preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
