Summary/Objective
As a Payroll Assistant, you play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll functions within our organization. Your responsibilities encompass calculating wages, deductions, and taxes, maintaining meticulous employee records, and addressing payroll-related inquiries. This position requires a keen understanding of payroll regulations, collaboration with HR and finance teams, and proficiency in payroll software.
Essential Functions:
Process payroll for 400+ employees
Analyzing all aspects of our company's payroll processes.
Data entry and analysis
Checking timesheets for accuracies
Set up direct deposit
Resonsible for employees inquiries regarding payroll issues or concern
Weekly Payroll Reporting
Time off upkeeping
Processing of employee deductions; for ex. 401k deferral forms, garnishments
Process HSA/401k Maxes
Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws in operating states; New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and · Pennsylvania (**and additional areas when they become available)
Preparing payroll reports for management and auditing purposes as needed.
Ensure that payroll goes out in a timely manner.
Other Payroll duties as assigned
