Job Description
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for the setup and maintenance of company and team member taxes across all states Rally House is located in. This position works with complex tax setups, configurations and ensures accuracy in payroll processing. In addition, this position is the back up support to the payroll department's daily operations and ensuring that accurate and timely payrolls are processed for all employees in a timely and efficient manner. This position will provide relevant reporting, provide customer service to internal and external customers, and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for analyzing and maintaining tax configuration setup in Workday for company and employee level
- Maintain accurate tax records in Workday system
- Partner with tax filing service to address agency notices regarding tax
- Reconcile quarterly tax returns
- Regularly audit tax reporting to close inactive tax accounts with OSV
- Supports the completion and reporting of any reporting associated with federal, state and local authorities.
- Process employee changes that include tax and/or organizational updates.
- Conduct regular audits of employee records to ensure accurate pay and tax information.
- Process employee tax updates
- Respond to inquiries from management and employees regarding tax configurations
- Process payroll corrections resulting from tax errors
- Process W-2 amendments
- Understand and comply with payroll laws and regulations.
- Payroll processing back up for Payroll Specialist
- May perform other projects and tasks as needed.
Skills and Knowledge
Ability to adapt to change and assume added responsibilities, Data entry accuracy, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Workday Knowledge
Qualifications
College degree or equivalent experience required; 3+ years of payroll related experience; Workday experience preferred
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Required to stand and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; differentiate colors. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items up to 25lbs, to walk short distances.
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00
