The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the regular processing of the organization’s payroll under the direction of the Payroll Supervisor.
JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES
- Ensures employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Compiles and enters employee and payroll data for each payroll processing.
- Maintains up to date payroll files for processing and record keeping requirements.
- Monitors system for errors in time reporting and ensures resolution before processing can be completed.
- Processes all wage garnishments.
- Reviews payroll reporting to ensure accuracy before committing payrolls for payment.
- Prepares end of cycle and end of month reports for distribution to management and accounting.
- Responsible for all new hire documentation once processed for payroll.
- Serves as a representative for employee services by fielding and responding to all payroll related inquiries and resolving discrepancies as required.
- Assist the Payroll Supervisor in assigned tasks/projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 3-5 years payroll experience working in a fast paced, high volume environment.
- Associates Degree preferred
- Experience using payroll and reporting software is required.
- Excellent customer service skills a must.
- Demonstrated strong computer skills, including competence in MS Excel.
- Ability to research issues and present solutions by using critical thinking and problems solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all levels of the organization.
- Must be self-directed and detail oriented.
- High level of confidentiality required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
