Job Overview: As a Payroll Accountant at By the Sea Resorts, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely compensation for our employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, calculation of wages, and processing of payroll adjustments.
2. Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to payroll, taxes, and benefits.
3. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee details, hours worked, and deductions.
4. Communication: Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
5. Reporting: Generate and analyze payroll reports, providing insights to management as needed.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the finance and HR departments to ensure seamless coordination of payroll activities.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll administration and accounting.
3. Certification: Professional certification in payroll (e.g., CPP) is preferred.
4. Knowledge: Thorough understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles.
5. Software Skills: Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
6. Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
7. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees and other departments effectively.
