You can go home at the end of the day knowing you made a difference! This is a Call Center position, so you know when you disconnect the call, you are done with that task and on to the next one.
Brault is a practice management, billing and coding company exclusively serving acute care independent physician practices. We are currently looking for experienced, energetic, detailed oriented Patient Services Representatives to work in our Call Center. Qualified individuals must possess excellent customer service skills, have the ability to multi-task and prioritize, and have strong problem solving skills.
Position Summary
With minimal supervision, the Patient Services Representative (PSR) will manage calls from patients, insurance representatives and attorneys. The position will be responsible for verifying patient's eligibility, updating patient demographics and insurance information, researching patient out-of-pocket responsibility and working accounts in compliance with billing guidelines. If necessary, the PSR will call patients.
Experience
- Min 1 - 2 years in insurance medical billing, a plus
- Min 2 years of healthcare related experience, preferred
- Proven experience working in a high volume Call Center (a plus)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of HMO, PPO, Commercial, Senior Medi-Cal, and Medicaid payers
- Understand insurance guidelines including Medicare and other government, private, self-insurance, and managed-care plans
- Able to read and understand Explanation of Benefits(EOBs), and identify how the benefits were applied
- Exposure to ICD-10 codes
- Understanding and adhering to HIPAA, PHI, and DMHC guidelines
- Must be Bi-lingual Spanish
