Kay Tabas Niknam DiDomenico Ophthalmology (KTND) is a multi-specialty ophthalmology practice in Philadelphia/Bala Cynwyd area looking for a Patient Service Representative (PSR) in our Call Center. Seeking someone with excellent customer service skills and an inviting personality. We have identified that with the increasing growth of the practice, we need to add to our Patient Service team.

Job Summary: As a Medical Patient Service Representative - Call Center, you will be responsible for the in-bound phone calls to the office each day. Your primary objective is to provide exceptional customer service, assisting patients with scheduling appointments, communicating with clinical care teams, reviewing insurance, and ensuring accurate and timely resolution of patient concerns. You will be required to demonstrate strong communication skills, empathy, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and healthcare processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Position is IN office. We are located in The Curtis Center at 7th and Walnut Street.
· Work directly with patients within the CALL CENTER each day.
· Provide accurate and timely information about medical services, appointments, test results, insurance coverage, and general healthcare inquiries.
· Assess patient needs, triage urgent situations, and escalate complex issues to appropriate departments or healthcare professionals as necessary.
· Receive and answer inbound calls from patients, healthcare providers, and other callers in a professional and courteous manner.
· Update and maintain patient information, medical records, and other relevant data in the CALL CENTER software or electronic medical records (EMR) system.
· Handle patient complaints, concerns, and inquiries with empathy, patience, and a customer-centric approach.
· Schedule appointments, arrange referrals, and coordinate with healthcare providers and facilities as required.
· Verify insurance coverage, explain billing processes, and assist with payment inquiries as needed.
· Collaborate with other team members and departments to resolve caller issues and provide a seamless patient experience.
· Participate in ongoing training and education programs to enhance knowledge of medical procedures, policies, and new developments in healthcare.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
