SalaryWe are seeking a motivated and personable individual to join our team as a PSR. The ideal candidate will possess a background in insurance verification, medical reception/administration, or related fields. While prior experience is advantageous, we welcome candidates who are fairly new to the industry but exhibit a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
Where: Doylestown, PA | On-Site
Pay: $18/hr
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Register new patients and update existing patient information in the electronic medical records system.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage appointment calendars efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely service.
- Process patient payments and reconcile daily financial transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry as needed.
- Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines when handling patient information.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
- Previous experience in medical reception, administrative support, or similar roles preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems is desirable.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure during stressful situations.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Excellent customer service skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
