Hours -M-F 8:00-5:00 - Hours could vary based on the needs of the clinic
Demonstrates knowledge of basic insurance and billing procedures.
Performs secretarial duties in a timely and efficient manner.
Demonstrates knowledge and ability to check patients in and out for his/her clinic visit.
Correctly uses facility communication systems.
Demonstrates knowledge of appointment scheduling procedures.
Performs clerical duties in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensures efficient telephone communication.
Correctly uses facility communication systems.
Education
High school diploma or GED
Experience:
One year experience in customer service setting preferred, preferably as a receptionist in a healthcare setting
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Computer skills required
Basic knowledge of office equipment: telephone, fax, copier
Medical terminology desired
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works in heated and air-conditioned area consistent with a normal office environment.
