Position Responsibilities:
- Performing opening duties including unlocking doors, preparing overnight ER patient charts, and printing daily appointment lists
- Greeting patients and making them feel welcome in our clinic
- Accurately updating patient demographics
- Updating and verifying insurance eligibility
- Collecting payments and copayments; performs daily cash box reconciliation
- Directing or assisting patients in completing appropriate paperwork
- Checking out patients and scheduling follow-up appointments when necessary
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Experience in a medical office setting is preferred
- Previous customer service experience is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately
- Must have flexibility to work some evenings and Saturdays
- Ability to travel to other ORA locations as needed
