Job Title: Patient Coordinator
Location: Los Angles CA 90033
Duration: 3 Months Contract (Possible Extension)
Shift Hours: 8:30pm 5pm
Pay Rate: $24/hr on w2
Job Description:
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide assistance across all aspects of patient care within the outpatient clinic. This includes coordinating patient appointments and follow-up procedures, as well as providing support with clerical duties within the office environment.
Additionally, the position involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to manage patient care throughout various phases, such as intake, evaluation, and post-surgical follow-up. This entails acting as a liaison between the clinic and referring physicians to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Furthermore, the role requires efficient coordination of clinic scheduling to ensure an organized workflow. It is essential to work closely with all physicians in the clinic to facilitate effective patient care delivery.
As part of the job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned as needed to support the operations and objectives of the clinic.
Must Haves:
- Understanding of the authorization process in healthcare settings.
- Minimum one year of experience in an ambulatory clinic setting.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong focus on detail-oriented tasks.
- Proficiency in customer service and phone etiquette.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Cerner experience
Processing New Referrals:
- Obtain required outside medical records promptly.
- Enter demographic information into computer system and PBAR.
- Provide medical records to physician/multidisciplinary team for review.
- Provide insurance information to financial counselor for patient to be financially cleared.
- Schedule patient in clinic efficiently.
