Schedule for the Patient Coordinator
Monday-Friday: 7:45AM - 5:00PM*
*End time may change depending on when the last emergency patient leaves
*Fridays are optional, but may be required if the practice needs coverage
Responsibilities and Requirements of the Patient Coordinator
At least 1 year of dental experience
Experience with TDO software preferred
Collect payment from patients and oversee Care Credit application
Accurately record all fees and payments in TDO
Provide daily reports from TDO to each doctor at the end of each day
Ensure accurate accounts receivable
Inform patients of the practice financial policy
Ensure that past due accounts are closely monitored
Oversee all delinquent accounts and collections of open balances on accounts
Send monthly statements to patients with an open balance on their account
Maintain and update a log of patients with an open balance on their account
Contact patients regarding an open balance on their account
Follow up with patients regarding their open balance every 2 weeks
Transfer patient accounts to collection agency if balance is not paid
Efficiently schedule appointments and handle incoming and outgoing phone calls
Record endodontic treatment plans and fees accurately
Monitor unscheduled treatments and fill last-minute cancellations
Accurately enter treatment provider data into TDO
Enter insurance information and process claims promptly
Monitor the recall system and follow up with overdue recall appointments
Exceptional teamwork and communication skills
Possesses organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to adapt to various patient needs and is detail oriented
