SUMMARY:
Guides patient through first contact with CHS, to hand off to audiologist, and post-appointment. Responds referrals, checks insurance, schedules appointments, and ensures compliance. Responds to all patients/clients/visitors, triaging requests, and providing information about CHS/Anixter and our services and programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Schedule patient's appointments and maintains audiology calendar.
- Responds to telephone, email, and VP inquires for the audiology clinic in a timely manner.
- Collects payments from clients.
- Coordinates all referrals, determines insurance eligibility, and completed related paperwork.
- Maintains medical records.
- Welcomes all patients/clients/visitors to CHS/Anixter, responding to inquiries, and triaging requests.
- Attends training as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years administrative/clerical, bookkeeping or medical billing experience.
- Must possess excellent bilingual English/Spanish language skills, both spoken and written.
- Working knowledge of computer software programs (including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel) is required.
- Must be well-organized, flexible, detail-oriented and able to work independently.
