We were founded in 2008 by pre-eminent psychiatrists and psychologists and treat 6,000+ patients per year. As a Patient Access Coordinator, you play a pivotal role in the successful registration and financial counseling of patients during the admission process by completing timely and detailed insurance benefit verifications and connecting with patients via complex financial conversations to educate them on their insurance benefits. The patient journey starts with Patient Access. As a Patient Access Coordinator, you consistently provide exceptional customer service to our patients, family members and staff, often in highly emotional and time sensitive situations. You will perform detailed investigation and vetting of insurance benefits and eligibility. You will communicate this information concisely to the patient and/or patient’s family while compassionately educating them on their financial responsibility and coaching them through financial options. You will also be responsible for the creation of the billing record and accurate collection of data during the registration process.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Compassionate and empathetic
- Basic math skills and accurate data-entry ability
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on a deadline
- Excellent internal and external customer service AKA “soft skills”
- Sharp verbal and written communication skills
- Able to resolve complex situations and make complex decisions
- Very strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn various software platforms including Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation starting range for the Patient Access Coordinator role is $18.50 to $19.50 an hour. Ranges are based upon market expectations and are dependent upon candidate experience.
