Pastor of Weekend Services | Roles and Responsibilities
WEEKEND SERVICES
The Pastor will support the Executive Pastor in carrying out Pastors Robert, James and Bridgette's vision for weekend service through the preparation, internal and external communication and execution of 52 Weekend Services per year, including but not limited to:

• Interfacing with campus pastors, GXP, campus teams, events, facilities, comms, media, LP, worship, etc.
• On-site oversight rotation (as needed).
• Coming up with and implementing ideas on ways to improve effectiveness of Weekend Services.
• Tracking notes & screens, communicating during service, edits after service
• Speaker Notes before, helping LP
• Oversight pastor prep and support
• Special guests (communicating, preparing, supporting on site)

SPECIAL WEEKENDS (SW), EVENTS (E), MULTI-DAY EVENTS (MDE) & CONFERENCES (C)
The Pastor will support the Executive Pastor in carrying out Pastors Robert, James and Bridgette's vision for Special Weekend Service (SW), Events (E) and Conferences (C) through creative interpretation, preparation, internal and external communication, execution of and support throughout the following special weekend service presentations, (multi-day) events (MDE) and conferences, including but not limited to:

  • Groups / Equip / Build Team Weekends (SW)
• FEBRUARY
  • Celebration/Vision Weekend (SW)
• MARCH
  • Heart for the Kingdom (E)

  • Easter (SW)
• MAY
  • Mother's Day (SW)
  • Memorial Day (SW)
• JUNE
  • Presbytery (MDE)
  • Celebrating Grads/Teachers Weekend (SW)
  • Father's Day (SW)
  • Juneteenth (SW)
  • Students Focus Weekend (SW)
• JULY
  • 4th of July (SW)
  • Kids Focus Weekend (SW)
• AUGUST
  • Groups / Equip / Build Team Weekends (SW)
• SEPTEMBER

  • Gateway Conference (C)
  • Hispanic Heritage Month (SW)
• NOVEMBER
  • Veterans Day (SW)

CHRISTMAS
The Pastor will support the Executive Pastor in carrying out the vision for the annual Christmas Musical and Candlelight Services by providing support and oversight in the following areas, including but not limited to:

• Christmas Musical
  • Financial support for expenses in Concur, check requests, etc
  • Co-leading during weekends (campus teams, events, facilities, Brushfire/ticketing, etc)
  • Show week support with VIP tickets, reserve seating, hosting etc

• Candlelight Weekend
  • Talent support as determined by EP and Worship Leadership
  • Execution of sets, props etc (load in and load out)
  • Weekend roles (campus teams, events, facilities, etc)
  • Additional support with VIP seats, reserve seating, hosting, etc

DEVOTIONAL

• Support with communication, logistics and final execution as needed by EP

CALENDAR
