Job Description:
*THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN THE DFW METROPLEX*
The Security Investigator position identifies and addresses Physical Security issues which impact UPS facilities, employees, and assets. An innovative investigator designs and implements projects related to CCTV and deploys new technology for their area of responsibility. The investigator contracts and partners with guard vendors ensuring proper entry/exit screening procedures are followed. Investigators conduct audits to ensure regulatory compliance in regulated areas. Investigators regularly conduct investigations related to employee concerns, package loss, and employee dishonesty that impacts service. Investigation Findings are presented to UPS Management for appropriate response. Investigators may also identify and investigate criminal activity which lead to law enforcement involvement. Investigators regularly engage with law enforcement relationships and may file police reports and/or testify in court.
Responsibilities:
Identify and address physical security issues in assigned area which includes facility/vehicle compromise and equipment theft.
Monitor and resolve facility alarm issues.
Contract and partner with guard vendor services.
Employee access control.
Conducts interviews with investigation subjects and witnesses, obtain written statements, review CCTV, analyze investigative data, prepare professional, accurate, and thorough investigative reports.
Analyzes investigation results root cause of losses to determine preventive measures.
Conduct regulatory compliance audits.
Assists in the development of customized SOP's for external customers.
Conducts themselves with impeccable integrity.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or International Equivalent - Preferred
Ability to flex work hours to appropriate sorts. May include split shifts/nights/weekends/holidays. Travel may be required.
Must be willing to be on call 24/7.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
