Wausau Equipment Company located in New Berlin, WI is seeking a Parts Customer Service Coordinator! The Parts CSR Coordinator is responsible for assisting customers by processing parts orders and requests for quotes, researching technical information, answering incoming phones, and email inquiries, expediting orders, and other tasks as assigned, while providing excellent Customer Service and maximizing part sales.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Answer telephone and e-mail inquiries concerning product information in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
- Performs various Customer Service functions including answering incoming customer calls, order entry, expediting/tracking parts orders, technical support and parts research.
- Research information and communicates with other departments as necessary, in responding to customer inquiries.
- Develop parts knowledge of all product lines and applications and able to make parts product suggestions.
- Ability to interpret and understand operator manuals, bills of material (BOM), picklists, parts books, parts operating manuals and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to think and react quickly to customer needs or seek the answer to secure orders in short turnaround times.
- Provide part pricing and availability information as requested for customer quotes.
- Assist customers with product returns or substitutions.
- Frequently review the open parts order report and follow up with customer order processing.
- Evaluate orders that are on “special order holds”.
- May assist in analyzing parts delivery performance.
- May promote special order programs to customers maximizing sale potential.
- Assists in the maintenance of an acceptable stock level for branch inventory.
- May be assigned additional responsibilities as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):
- Strong mechanical aptitude and general technical knowledge of mobile equipment required.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Must have good mathematical skills.
- Must have good business acumen.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and present ideas and findings to peers and management.
- Computer proficiency using Outlook, Excel and Word. Previous experience with order processing systems; ERP software and JD Edwards desired.
- Self-driven and works collaboratively with others. Is respectful and keeps a professional demeanor, capable of managing and preventing conflict.
- Must be results-oriented individual with a clear focus on business and profitability.
- Adaptable to change and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to initiate projects without supervision.
- Continuous improvement minded.
- Ability to walk frequently in and around the warehouse facility.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be dependable and able to work overtime, as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Education beyond high school preferred; a two year technical degree or diploma in a similar field of study.
- A minimum of five years of work experience in a technical position in the snow removal or heavy equipment industry required.
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment, inventory control, and/or distribution warehouse required.
- Previous experience in Customer Service preferred.
