We're looking for our next super star candidate to join our kennel team! We have promoted one of our current Kennel Assistant so we need to fill their shoes!

Happy Tails Learning Center for Dogs is hiring a Part-Time or Full-Time Kennel Assistantto work weekday & sporadic weekend shifts. We’re looking for someone with flexible availability that is interested in working 24-42 hours per week. Job responsibilities are 80% heavy cleaning and 20% care of dogs. The job is VERY physical so you must be able to work long hours on your feet, lift heavy objects, manage strong dogs that pull & jump and must be able to perform heavy cleaning duties.

WE ARE LOOKING TO FILL THE FOLLOWING SHIFTS:

• Monday - Fridays between the hours of 7am to ~5pm
• 1-2 Saturdays per month 7am – 5pm

• A Full-Time Role would be Monday-Thursday every week and 1-2 Saturdays per month
• A Part-Time role would be based on day availability but the shifts are 7-5pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will be responsible for heavy cleaning (kennels, crates, vacuuming and mopping floors, other general cleaning, etc). You will also be responsible for the care of dogs (feeding, pottying them, bathing, administering medicine, etc).

PREREQUISITES:

Here's the deal...We work our tails off (get it?)! But we're also a fun group. So we want someone who can fit in with our team of goofballs but understands the importance of hard work! You must be willing and able to work with dogs of all temperaments and sizes. The position is very physical so you must be physically capable of performing the cleaning & handling responsibilities - you're on your feet all day. You need be willing to work independently and must be reliable. Candidate must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation and have a strong work-ethic. We are looking for candidates that have a go-with-the flow attitude (the dog world is often unpredictable), who will work hard, be reliable and who can work well with others. Prior kennel experience is a plus but it's not necessary!
