Part-Time Medical Receptionist

Medical Front Desk Receptionist - THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION!
CLASSIFICATION: Part-time*, non-exempt

WORK SCHEDULE:

• Mon. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Tues. 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM
• Wed. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Thur. OFF
• Fri. 8:00 AM-12:30 PM

*This position is Part-time. Hours may vary depending upon Physician's schedule/vacations.

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

DUTIES/RESPONSIBIITIES:

• Greeting patients upon arrival, sign-in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
• Collecting co-pays, deductible and uninsured payments.
• Schedule follow up appointments.
• Verifying insurances as needed.
• Updating patients’ demographics information in Practice Management system.
• Answer and route calls.
• Assist with attaching incoming faxes to electronic charts. Cancel or rebook appointments as needed.
• General care and upkeep of office.
• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• At least 1 year experience with Health Insurance/Managed Care companies.
• At least 1 year Customer Service experience.
• Excellent typing and computer skills.
• Ability to efficiently organize work and maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in an office environment within a medical clinic and requires desk, computer, and other general office equipment.
