Medical Front Desk Receptionist - THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION!
CLASSIFICATION: Part-time*, non-exempt
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Mon. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Tues. 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM
- Wed. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Thur. OFF
- Fri. 8:00 AM-12:30 PM
*This position is Part-time. Hours may vary depending upon Physician's schedule/vacations.
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
DUTIES/RESPONSIBIITIES:
- Greeting patients upon arrival, sign-in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
- Collecting co-pays, deductible and uninsured payments.
- Schedule follow up appointments.
- Verifying insurances as needed.
- Updating patients’ demographics information in Practice Management system.
- Answer and route calls.
- Assist with attaching incoming faxes to electronic charts. Cancel or rebook appointments as needed.
- General care and upkeep of office.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- At least 1 year experience with Health Insurance/Managed Care companies.
- At least 1 year Customer Service experience.
- Excellent typing and computer skills.
- Ability to efficiently organize work and maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in an office environment within a medical clinic and requires desk, computer, and other general office equipment.
