Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person
- File and organize legal documents, correspondence, and other paperwork
- Prepare legal documents with direction from attorney
- Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, photocopying, scanning, and faxing
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a legal receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Dependability and attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the legal field. A dependable individual with previous legal experience is required for this 3 day per week (approximately 12-15 hours) position. Familiarity with law office protocol and excellent written and verbal communication skills required. This is not a remote position.
