This position is within the Continuing Education Department to provide instruction to community members, industry partners, and Aims students in specialty topics. Topics may include but are not limited to: Healthcare, Non-Profit, Flight Instruction, Professional Development courses.
*This position is located at both the Greeley and Loveland Campus.
Job Duties:
Provide high level customized instruction, meaningful feedback and practical experiences to community members, industry partners and Aims students in subject matter of expertise. Instruction may include but not limited to: labs, specialty scenarios, speakers.
Incorporate current and industry driven subject matter expertise into instruction.
Foster a learning environment that encompasses adult learning styles
Employ relevant teaching tools, strategies, and classroom technologies relevant to industry that will enhance the learning experience
Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student success.
Supervise students to ensure the safe and proper use of the facility, equipment and supplies.
Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills.
Customize & create course content, syllabi, class materials and coursework to enhance student understandings that are relevant to course outcomes.
Demonstrate continuous commitment to quality instruction.
Work as a team member with the Continuing Education team with a genuine spirit of cooperation and flexibility.
Participate in advisory committee meetings and activities as required.
Demonstrate a willingness to embrace and apply the provisions of the College’s mission statement, purpose, philosophy, and commitment to diversity.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certification in area of expertise, if applicable
Four years of industry specific experience or focused scope of work, with one of those years being instructing in area of expertise or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
Must be self-directed and self-motivated
