The role of the Part-Time Human Resources Clerk is to perform a variety of entry-level support duties related to Human Resources at Pelican State Credit Union. This includes completing tasks related to employee lifecycle changes, sending standard departmental communication, scanning/filing, reporting, and other general office support functions as necessary. The ideal candidate is a go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for serving others. Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel, is a must! They should be comfortable working independently and as a contributing member of a team. Meeting deadlines and attention to detail are critical pieces of this position. Our Human Resources Clerk must embody Pelican's Core Values and provide excellent service in all that they do.
A Day in the Life of a Human Resources Clerk INCLUDES:
- Processing all employee changes including new hires, change of status, department transfers/promotions, and separations by utilizing the appropriate checklists
- Preparing department-related communications and announcements
- Scanning/filing documentation electronically and in paper files
Human resources assistant Skills and qualifications includes:
- High School education or equivalent
- Experience handling a variety of administrative duties in a professional office setting
- Administrative/clerical experience with HR-related duties is a plus!
- Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills
- Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
